vanessa and josh january 2008

After my whirlwind of a month in December, I thought that January would be a breeze- I had only one wedding on my books for the month- so in my mind I was ready for a little bit of a break.  Boy was I wrong- I decided to do the Bridal Show last minute, move into a new office and start using my Mac Book Pro all at once :)  So far my January has been a little crazy.Just the same,  I had to focus and get ready to capture Vanessa and Josh’s wedding day.  Once again, this couple choose not to have an engagement session (something that I only allow every once in a while).  Vanessa’s mother was very involved in the planning of the day and I spoke mostly with her.  So, when the wedding day came- I had a few little butterflies in my stomach because I felt like I didn’t really get to build a friendship with the couple like I usually do.  However, once I saw Vanessa and said hello- my nervousness disappeared.  She is really  a sweetheart and I could tell that she was so excited for the day to unfold.  I had not meet Josh before the wedding day, but he too was such a great person and made my job so much easier.  I could tell that he really loves Vanessa and wanted the day to turn out to be her fairy tale day just as she had imagined. The ceremony was simple, but perfect and everyone there was having such a great time and I could see the genuine happiness everyone felt for the couple.  The flower girl was so cute and I swear I could not get enough pictures of her- I just loved her little face and her big eyes!  So cute.  I also had the pleasure of working with Yvette Carrol as my second photographer.  She is really an amazing assistant and I love how she just does her own thing and gets the shots that I need her to without having to ask!  Thanks Yvette.  You are awesome!  vj-blog-1.jpgvj-blog-2.jpgvj-blog-3.jpgvj-blog-4.jpgvj-blog-5.jpgvj-bog-6.jpgvj-blog-7.jpgvj-blog-8.jpgvj-blog-9.jpg
