been tagged two more times

Well, it has happened again….I have been tagged.  So, here I am to tell you more random things about myself (do people really want to hear this stuff?)

The two that tagged me this time are Rebecca and Carey.  Both are super great and I finally get to meet Carey in person next week after I shoot a wedding in the San Diego area.

So here we go:

1. growing up I loved the ocean (Still do) but I wanted to be a marine biologist. But in the 5th grade, I remember my dad telling me that marine biologists make no money and that  I should find something else to do.

2. This is really funny- during a gymnastics meet I was competing in, I was doing my beam routine and after my first pass, I completely forgot what came next.  I stopped, stood there and then looked at the judge and said, “hold on, I’ll get it- just a minute.”  So, I finished the routine- just not the RIGHT routine.  Lets just say that my score was like 3 point something- horrific.

3. I played soccer from the age of 3 until a senior in high school.  And I LOVED every minute of it. I played left wing and got to do a lot of running and shooting!

4. I haven’t had red meat since the 8th grade- saw a 20/20 investigative report and I just couldn’t eat it after that.  I stopped eating any meat in the 10th grade.  However with my first pregnancy, I started to crave chicken, so I eat that on occasion now.

5. My parents call me there 60’s child.  Maybe because I am a little crazy and not mainstream when it comes to a lot of things.  I don’t think I could live in the 60’s because I have never done a single drug in my life and they totally freak me out. (You should rent Basketball Diaries and that will really freak you out)

6. My major in college was Kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training, but I never got my degree (thank goodness) I am much too creative for that!

7. I have lived in the following states: Utah, Idaho, Washington, California, Minnesota, Georgia and Arizona.  If I had to pick a favorite- well the people form Georgia were awesome, the winters here in AZ are super, the ocean and my mom live on California- (need I say more) and Idaho is the most beautiful place. I have many found memories about my grandparents cabin there.  Our daughter’s middle name is McCall after the town the cabin is in.

8. I used to love to write- it was one of my creative outlets.  Now, I feel like I am no good at it and that my brain is often on overload.  I remember a poem that I wrote in the 5th grade.  Circles are round, boxes are square, my dad is an oval without any hair!      He is gonna kill me if he reads this (hi dad!)

9. I love the movie The Sound of Music- crazy I know!

10. My best friend from Minnesota (michele) and my best friend in high school (jenae) will never really know what an impact in my life they both made- and in completely different, yet similar ways.

11. I love to hear my children laugh and giggle and a smile on their face is worth more than anything to me!

12. I have never been a collector of any one thing in particular- which makes me a hard person to shop for -so I am told.

13.  I used to make my own natural cleaning products- laundry detergent included.

14. In the 5th grade- while living in Minnesota, I got kicked off the school bus because I punched a boy in the face and broke his nose.  I do not like violence, but after weeks of this boy picking on me and putting gum in my hair, I lost it, and turned around and punched him in the face.  He was in the 9th grade. And of course, I was the one that got into trouble.

15. I love to spend time baking with my kiddos- because they love to do it soooo much!  It is so sweet.

16. If I could vacation anywhere in the world (I am not too great with Geography) I would love to spend two weeks with my hubby (the kids could come too if I had a super nanny that could help us out) on some deserted island, where life was simple, not crowded, had no agendas, and good healthy food, crisp air and beautiful sand and water……oooh a girl can dream can’t she?

17.  My sister and brother and I don’t have too many childhood memories together (that I can remember) but I know we want to create them now!  We are all much closer now that we are older.

18. Last but not least, I have what my husband likes to call the red-tag disease.  If it is on clearance, i have to buy it!  This can be both bad and good- just depends on the season! LOL

Ok onto who I have tagged:

well I am too tired to think about it- I will have to post them tomorrow!
