So today as my son is rambling some things off as he walks around….he comes over to my desk to peer at a picture of one of the girls that works at the dentist office that I did a shoot for. He looks at her and says, “she is pretty mom- but ya know who is the prettiest?- God he is the prettiest, nobody is prettier than God!” So sweet- he is really just so sweet.
About 30 minutes later, he goes to The Home Depot with my husband to get a few tiles for a project I am doing and he walks in and says to me, ” Mom, we got to get a Popsicle at Home Depot. Are you Jelly? ” I respond with a joke of my own- “Why should I be Jelly? I think I am peanut butter.” He gets a little frustrated and says, “No are you Jelly?” I tell him that I am not too big on Jelly. He gets even more frustrated and says, “MOM! Are you Jelly that I got a Popsicle and you didn’t?” He was dead serious. He was meaning to say jealous- but to him it was jelly! My husband and I were laughing so hard we couldn’t breath!
Fast forward about an hour and we are on our way to meet his pre-school teacher and on the way there he keeps rambling how he is going to be a mom when he grows up…on and on he goes just talking to himself. Then I hear him say “I am gonna be a mom when I grow up, but I am not going to do any wedding shoots, I am just gonna have fun and play with all my hunnies!” I was laughing so hard I started to cry!
He always has the funniest things to say. I wish I could just record him everyday!
